This world-class champion’s judo career began in the United States and eventually took him to study at the famed Kodokan Judo Institute in Tokyo, Japan. As a martial arts competitor, teacher and lecturer, Sensei Hayward Nishioka has acquired a skill and insight into this art that is respected all over the world. In this original three-part DVD series, Hayward Nishioka teaches proper breakfalls, 15 of judo’s primary throws (Nagaewaza), grappling skills, chokes (Shimewaza), armbars (Kansetsuwaza), pins and holds (Osaekomiwaza), counter-throws (Kaeshiwaza) and many other winning techniques.
