Master Shao is of the 5th Generation in the Direct Lineage of Ba Gua Zhang Masters and Grandmasters, descending from its founder : Dong Hai Chuan, to Li Cun Yi (1846-1921), to Huang Bao Nian (1880-1954), to Zhang Tong (1917-2005), and now to Shao Zhao Ming.MASTER SHAO ZHAO MING Influenced by his family, Master Shao began Chinese Martial Arts at the early age of five. By the age of six he was selected by China's renowned Martial Arts Grandmaster Zhang Tong. Dedication to his studies and training has resulted in his attainment of 'Wu Ying' (meaning Martial Hero) the highest award for Tai Chi and Kung Fu-Wushu practitioners in the world. Master Shao has completed a Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine-Acupuncture and has also won gold medals in the National Kung Fu-Wushu Open Championships of China in 1989 & 1990. He currently holds 7th Dan for Tai Chi and Kung Fu-Wushu. He is the only person from China to have this level of qualifications combining the Martial and Healing Arts. Due to his achievements and knowledge, he was appointed Head Coach of the Tai Chi and Kung Fu-Wushu Team at China's prestigious Beijing University of Sport. He is an international Grade-A Judge, and now has a Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic and is the founder and Chief Instructor of the Tai Chi Wushu Institute in Melbourne Australia.
